Capacity Building: What It Means To Be Anti-Racist at Occidental College

Client Name: Occidental College

I had the pleasure of supporting Occidental College’s 2022 New Student Orientation and the incorporation of an Equity and Justice Day program as their keynote speaker. The President's Office expressed the desire to see represented themes (e.g., anti-racism, religious pluralism, power and intersectionality) and my offering focused on engaging an anti-racist ethos and incorporating an ethic of meaningful inclusion as community members. In addition to this speaking engagement, I also developed a companion zine with resources for Oxy’s new students.
